About
Who publishes this site
Radif Partners
Independent publisher of service-by-service Medicare cost estimates built from CMS fee schedules
Out of Pocket 65 is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free tools on public data. This site is for people on Medicare, people about to turn 65 and the relatives who help them with the bills: before an appointment or an operation, it tells them how much will be left for them to pay.
Why it exists
The question "does Medicare cover it?" is usually answered with a yes or no, or with "80%". For the person who pays, the useful question is different: how many dollars? The answer depends on the service, on where it is done (office, surgery center or hospital), on the price area, on the deductible already paid this year and on the coverage. CMS publishes all those rates, but in files of tens of thousands of lines meant for doctors and hospitals. This site runs the arithmetic on those files for 41 services and explains it page by page.
Where the figures come from
The rates come from the public CMS fee schedules of October 2026: physicians, hospital outpatient departments, surgery centers, medical equipment and ambulances. Deductibles, copayments and Medigap benefits come from the CMS 2026 fact sheet and medicare.gov, and coverage rules from the medicare.gov page of each service. Our parameter file cites 17 official pages. The method page gives every formula.
What we are not
We are not Medicare, CMS or a government agency; the site is not affiliated with them and uses no logo of theirs. We are not an insurer or an agent: we sell no Medicare Advantage plan, Medigap policy or drug plan, and we put you in touch with no one who does. We give no medical advice: prices do not tell you whether a service is right for you.
How the site is paid for
It is free and asks for no account, email, ZIP code or phone number. It takes no commission and carries no affiliate link. If it ever shows advertising, it will never sit above the estimator and cannot use your data, because what you type in the estimator never leaves your browser.
